WATER ACTIVITIES
Enjoy one of Ontario’s best kept secrets, Weslemkoon Lake, where there is some of the best fishing in the province. The lake is spring fed and there is a variety of species including large and small mouth bass. Boat slips available (inquire at the campground office).
During the summer months, bring your paddle board, paddle boat, canoe or kayak and explore the nearby islands and creeks on the spring fed lake. There are lots of coves to explore.
ATVING AND SNOWMOBILING
Any time of year there is an abundance of trails to take out your snowmobile or ATV. The rocky terrain and breathtaking views of the lake make every ride an adventure and hours of fun! The property has access to crown land so you will be sure to see a variety of wildlife along the way.

OTHER ACTIVITIES
There are lots of activities to do around the campgrounds and in the area for the entire family. New activities will be added in the summer of 2022. Basketball, tetherball, volleyball, badminton, and horseshoes.
If you are around in the winter bring up your trail bikes and go on a cycling adventure. Or when the ice is thick try out ice fishing. During the summer take out the mountain bikes and explore the surrounding forests. It’s also a short bike to the Marina and convenience store to check out local goods. Watch the numerous boaters bringing in their catch of the day or travelling to the nearby cottages at the multiple islands on the lake.
It’s a photographers paradise with all the wildlife, rocky terrain, gorgeous forests and views of the lake. Kick back, relax and explore!
COMMUNITY CAMPFIRE
We are looking forward to having community campfires following the defined COVID restrictions in the summer months.
On a clear night take in the star filled night skies and prepare a gourmet meal over the campfire. Or just pull out out the smores and spider dogs and enjoy the quality time with family and friends.
HIKING AND NATURE WALKS
The campgrounds is next to acres of crown land and numerous hiking, biking and ATVing trails. The scenery is breathtaking.
In just 1.5 hours take a day trip to the beautiful Bon Echo Provincial Park to see the cliffs and take an excursion on the lake by boat, canoe or kayak. and hike along the top cliffs to take in the lake and forest views. There are numerous beaches as well at the park to take the family and enjoy the day.
Take a stroll in downtown Bancroft only 50 mins away and check out the local shops. Madoc is also only 50 mins to the south and has many amenities to explore including the Hidden Goldmine Bakery where you will find the best apple pie and sweet homemade treats!
